If Larry had been popular and had been terrorizing Brandon, what would the story be then?

how can we say, don't treat the gay society differently just because they are different, but then handle a story about a "gay" child and his murder and make the point that he was gay the prominent story line?

There are children every day who aren't gay, or who are, really, it doesn't matter what their sexuality is. Kids are killing kids, and it needs to stop.

Period.

I think we are getting away from the issue at hand. Yes, Larry was gay. And, he may even have came on to Brandon. But, the fact is Larry is dead and Brandon killed him. Children and even adults need to realize you can solve your problems by violence. Or, feel violence is okay to use because my victim is gay. As for the parents sometimes we have to step up when they aren't there. So many children are products of broken homes. As a society it is our duty to fill that void. As the adage states, "it takes a village to raise a child". Lastly, Brandon was the murder so he must face the consequences of his actions. You can't take away someone's life because you don't like them or don't like the fact they liking you may do to your rep. I feel the incident is a sad story that will continue to be repeated if as a society we justify violence as a solution and we turn back on when it isn't our child spiraling out of control.
